Mrs. Pattie Bringle Steele Fink

Pattie Bringle Steele Fink, age 87, of Salisbury, North Carolina went to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, NC. Pattie was born in Salisbury, NC on May 15, 1929 to the late Lester Lee Bringle and Beulah Pierce Bringle. She was the second child out of four children raised in Salisbury. She attended Woodleaf High School and Gay’s Chapel Methodist Church where she was a member for many years. Pattie married the love of her life, Harry Ford Steele, in 1948 and they happily raised their two sons, Harry, Jr. and Robert, until Harry’s passing in 1962. Pattie was passionate about her family and taking care of her boys. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always made sure her family and friends were feed and clothed. Pattie remarried in 1965 to her second love, David Fink. Together they lovingly raised Robert, Pattie’s youngest son. Pattie was a dedicated employee at M & S Cleaners as a Desk Clerk for 54 years until her retirement in 2005. Pattie loved helping others, baking and eating all her sweet treats, her favorite being her daily 7 up pound cake with cream cheese icing, and shopping for her grandbabies. She enjoyed attending her church and having fellowship with her church family members. Pattie also enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and friends; especially the weekly meals with her siblings. Most of all, she loved her family and always put them first. Her legacy will live on through the lives of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Harry Ford Steele, Sr. and David “Dave” Ray Fink; and her sister, Anne Cornatzer. Pattie leaves behind her loving sons, Harry “Jr” (Sheila) Steele, Jr. of Leland, NC and Robert “Bobby” (Deborah) Steele, Sr. of Macclenny, FL; her brothers, Elwood (Peggy) Bringle of Salisbury, NC and J.K. Bringle of Woodleaf, NC; her grandchildren, Holly (Jeff) Reader, Wendy (Danny) Ward, Ashley (Chris) Miller, R.J. (Ashley) Steele; her great grandchildren, Emily, Riley, Kiley, Emma, C.J. and Grayson; and numerous extended family members and friends who Pattie loved. A Home Going Celebration of Pattie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Arbor United Methodist Church of Salisbury, NC. The family will receive friends at the fellowship hall at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastors Mary and Frank Gordon along with Dr. Ron Heddle officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Arbor United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in Pattie’s honor.
