Guy "Pat" Patrick Weaver

Guy Patrick “Pat” Weaver, 72, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from complications of “Long Covid”. Born March 11,1952, Pat was the son of the late James and Phyllis (Bauer) Weaver. Originally from Ohio, he relocated multiple times with his family ending up in North Carolina. He earned a Bachelors Degree in History from Belmont Abbey College. After retirement, he obtained an additional degree from Montgomery Community College and subsequently enjoyed a teaching position there for several years. Pat owned Weaver Racing Products in Ocklawaha, Florida for eight years. Now being an experienced and accomplished engine machinist, he was recruited by Hendrick Motorsports and was employed there for 19 years. During his employment, he worked in Research and Development, engine building, and performance testing for the Hendrick NASCAR team. Pat had many passions and hobbies including: caring for his many beloved pets, beekeeping, building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, RV camping, boating, and had a voracious appetite for reading a variety of subjects, particularly American History. He held memberships in clubs associated with these hobbies including the American Beekeepers Association, Cabarrus RC Flying Club and Sustainable Poultry Network. He is survived by his wife of nearly 26 years, Anna Lee Weaver, brothers, Steve Weaver(Kathy) of Apex, NC, Jim Weaver of Little River, SC, Todd Weaver of Winter Park FL, Mark Weaver (Linda) of Greenville, SC, Matthew Weaver (Jennie) of Knoxville, TN, Vincent Weaver (Jeannie) of Easley, SC; sisters, Beth Baxley (Steve) of Cullowhee, NC, Rebecca Rodgers (Richard) of Ocklawaha, FL, Julie Cyrulinski (David) of Ocala, FL and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00AM with Father John Eckert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
