Terry Wayne Watson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Terry Wayne Watson, age 77, of Salisbury passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Watson was born November 11, 1944 in Rowan County the son of the late Margie Gaskey Watson and Junius Cloniger Watson, Sr. He attended China Grove High School and South Rowan High School. Mr. Watson worked as a mechanic for Parkdale Mills for 48 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, NASCAR, keeping up with the weather, and old western television shows. Preceding him in death was his first wife Linda Marie Leonard and his brothers Larry Richard Watson and Ricky Dale Watson. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sherry Cooper Watson whom he married September 24, 1999; siblings Larry Watson (Patricia) of Salisbury, Marlene Watson Owen of Salisbury, Butch Watson of Salisbury, Joel Watson (Geraldine) of Salisbury and Margie Watson Harrington Clontz (Frank) of Concord; son Wayne Watson (Christy) of Kannapolis; step-sons James Ballard (Susan) and Chris Cooper (Michelle) of Salisbury; grandchildren Jacob Martin (Lane), Travis Watson and Tiffany Watson, Colton Ballard (Sarah), Jessica Ballard and Lainey Ballard and Blake Cooper; and great-grandchildren EJ Lambert and Caylee Ballard. A visitation will be held from Thursday, May,19th 6pm—8pm at Summersett Funeral Home. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Watson family.
