Stella Rae Miller Guffy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Stella Rae Miller Guffy, 93, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday February 28, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born December 22, 1928 in Raleigh County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Ron Miller and Lora Bell Lambert Miller. She was educated in Rowan County schools. She worked at Hoechst-Celanese from 1973 until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Franklin Baptist church for many years and loved her church family. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard, and read her Bible every day. She made clothes for her children when they were young. She also enjoyed camping and trips to the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Bobby Guffy; daughters Deborah Kay Boggs and Linda Livengood; five brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Shirley Boggs of Salisbury, Patsy Mitchell of Salisbury, Charlene Fero (Harry) of Salisbury and Sally Wagoner (Gary) of China Grove; sister, Joann Pestslitz of Florida; brother, Harold Miller of Statesville; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Franklin Baptist Church. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Building Fund, 3810 US Hwy 601, Salisbury, NC 28147.
