Margaret Louise Campbell McLaurin

Margaret Louise Campbell McLaurin, age 94, formerly of Cleveland passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at Compass Healthcare. Mrs. McLaurin was born March 6, 1928 in Rowan County the daughter of the late Lottie Mae Steele and Fred Lee Campbell. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School and Mitchell College. Louise worked for Erwin Mills until it closed and Ward and Ratledge Milling, and North Carolina Transportation Museum where she retired as a secretary for the museum. She was a member and played organ for Woodleaf Methodist Church for 40 years and formerly a member of South River United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death was her brother Herbert Campbell; sister Frances Campbell Williams. Left to cherish her memories are a niece Ruth Williams Brown (Lonnie) of Salisbury; nephews Fred Williams (Mary Lou) of Cleveland, Robert Campbell (Lynn) of Greensboro and Jeffrey Campbell (Jodie) of Greensboro; 1 great-nephew and 4 great-nieces; 3 great-great nephews and 2 great-great nieces. Graveside Service 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at South River United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Sybil Perrell with visitation following service.
