Lois Mae Webb Harkey

January 11, 1936 - April 8, 2022

Lois Mae Webb Harkey, 86, of Salisbury, NC passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Harkey was born January 11, 1936 in Rowan County, NC to the late Delmar Byrley Webb and Edith Reeves Lowder Webb. She was a graduate of Woodleaf High School Class of 1954. Mrs. Harkey worked as a seamstress for many years and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose life was centered around her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sylvia Annette Harkey and sister, Peggy Webb Bringle. Surviving is her husband Jimmy Reid Harkey whom she married on December 3, 1955; daughters, Gail Grubb (Gene) and Linda Ervin (Dana); sisters, Gladys Hall, Ann Honeycutt and Carol Bringle (Willard); grandchildren: Mark Ervin (Kimmie), Darren Ervin (Natalie), Lauren Taylor (Adam), Jason Grubb (Caitlin) and Lindsay Brown (Dakota); great-grandchildren: Tori, Zoe and Xander Ervin, Olivia and Rachel Ervin, Abby and Clay Taylor, Sadie and Lydia Grubb and Wade Brown and numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. The family will receive friends at The Arbor United Methodist Church from 1-2 PM Tuesday (Apr 12). A memorial service will follow at 2 PM in the church, officiated by Rev. Jacqueline E. Tookey.
