Carla Lynn Sechrest

Carla Lynn Sechrest, 41, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her residence. Born December 21, 1980 in Rowan County she was the daughter of Mark Sechrest of Salisbury and the late Teresa Schenk Sechrest. She was a 1999 graduate of East Rowan High School; Rowan Cabarrus Community College and later earned her Master’s Degree. She was an executive secretary with Duke Energy. She was a member of Mt. Hope Church where she a consistory leader, sang with the praise team and was active with missions. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, shopping, and spending time with her family. In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Dylan Davis of Salisbury. The family will receive friends 5 -7 p.m. Sunday (April 10th) at Summersett Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday (April 11th) at Mt. Hope Church with Rev. Dr. Johnny Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
