Warren Dale Snider

Warren Dale Snider, 69, passed away May 13, 2025, at his residence in Salisbury. Born March 6, 1956, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Jimmie Lee Snider and Doris Wood Snider. Warren graduated in 1974 from West Rowan High School, continued his education and received his degree from Catawba College. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mooresville, NC. He was a senior account executive in the food brokerage industry. Devoted to his profession, he was a loyal employee who maintained special relationships with business associates, with many turning into respected, lifelong friends. He was a great brother and uncle to a large family. Left behind to cherish his memory are his sister, Wanda Snider Redden, husband John of Mooresville, NC. A nephew, Kaleb Redden, wife Carrie and great nephews, Henry, Luke, and David of Falls Church, VA. A niece, Katie Redden Katz, husband Bryan and great niece, Emily and great nephew, Ethan of Blacksburg, VA. His sister, Waka Snider Stephens of Salisbury. A nephew, Cass Gilbert, wife Casey and great nephew, Colten of Southport, NC. A niece, Heather Fitzgerald and great nephews, Cameron, Bentley, and Alex of Salisbury. Warren loved family get togethers. He enjoyed supporting his nephews by attending Little League ballgames and various extracurricular activities. His presence will be greatly missed. Warren had many special feline companions over the years and is survived by Little Cat, whom he loved very much. Warren was a reliable and caring friend to anyone who knew him. He lived his elementary years in Chattanooga, TN. He stayed in touch and retained these friends throughout his life. He was an admired member of the West Rowan community. A colorful character in his youth, he shared many escapades and good times with a wide circle of friends. The stories are endless and full of good laughs. He has many wonderful friends left to cherish his memory. Not known for his culinary skills, Warren was a frequent patron of many local restaurants and established friendships with owners and wait staff at every turn with his quiet warmth, meaningful conversations, and kind heart. He enjoyed every meal! Warren received many admiring looks when he drove his baby blue 1972 Super Sport Chevelle which was the first vehicle he purchased at the age of 16. He enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Atlanta Braves, college basketball, and following the stock market. Family and friends always marveled at his ability to compute numbers on the fly and his ability to recall a conversation accurately word for word even years later. Warren helped to choose the words on his parents’ tombstone “The lives of those who touch others will go on forever.” This saying can be applied to Warren. He will be missed but never forgotten. To honor Warren, the family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Monday, May 26 at Summersett Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, May 27 at Bethel Lutheran Church. 355 East Ridge Road in Salisbury. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
