Jeane Munday Wilson Jeane was born September 18, 1943 and is preceded in death by her son…Michael Shane Wilson…her parents Helen Victoria Munday Ellenburg and John Williams Munday…Sister Wanda Poole Farmer…Brother Freddy Ellenburg. She is survived by her husband Sherman Roe Wilson, Brothers William Lester (Buster) Ellenburg, Jr. and Sister-in-Law Frankie Lee Livengood Ellenburg…Brother Paul Ellenburg and former Daughter-in-Law Lisa Stephens, and many nieces and nephews. After Jeane’s mother died in 1959, she resided with her Aunt Grace Allen and husband S B Allen with their two children, Judy Winebarger and Marlene Prigh. They raised her as their child until marriage in 1961. Jeane graduated from West Rowan High School in 1961 and Salisbury Business College in 1962. Jeane worked for Dura-Bar Metal Services formally known as Southern Alloy, and retired from Williams Metals and Welding in 2008. Jeane was a member of Gays Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Director, Choir Member, and Secretary. She loved working with the youth, participating in all the church activities, and listening to Gospel Music. She deeply loved her wonderful Husband Sherman, Son Shane, and Brother Buster and Sister-in-Law Frankie. Visitation: 2-3:00 PM Sunday, July 28 at Gay’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Service: 3:00 PM Sunday, July 28 at Gay’s Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Revs. Frank and Mary Gordon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Special thanks to lifelong friends Judy and James Safley. The family would like to thank the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House nurses and staff for the tremendous care of Jeane the past 15 days and all the Hospice Home Care Providers who cared for Jeane over the past couple months. Jeane and the family thanks Dr. Chris Agner and nurse Kristin of Rowan Diagnostic Clinic, and Dr. William Black and the nurses of Carolina Oncology for their care of Jeane over the past five years.
