Helen L. Wrights

Helen L. Wrights, 92, of Salisbury, NC, entered the kingdom of Heaven peacefully the morning of January 4, 2025, at the Davie Nursing & Rehab Center of Mocksville. Helen was born March 4, 1932, to the late Ralph and Lucille Lippard of Cleveland, NC. She was one of five siblings. She is survived by her children Patricia Peacock (Darrell), Jack Davis (Blanca), and stepdaughters, Patricia Dorsey (Carl) and Jeanie London, and one sister, Frances Barber and two sisters in law, Susan Lippard and Faye Lippard. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Jack Davis, Sr. (1951-1956) and Frank M. Wrights, Sr. (1964-2012) and stepson Frankie Wrights, Jr. Also preceded in death her brothers Walter, Clyde, and Harry Lippard. Helen graduated from Cleveland High School where she became a notable basketball player and through the years became an avid sports fan, both college and professional basketball (Tarheels and Atlanta Braves). She was lifelong member of the Cleveland Baptist Church and faithfully attended the Sunday School Program. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed canning, traveling, but most of all, Helen enjoyed being “Mamaw” to (10) grandchildren, (20) great grandchildren, and (13) great-great grandchildren. Helen leaves behind a legacy of strong family values, kindness, and integrity, passing these values onto all her children. The Family would like to thank the entire staff at the Davie Rehab Center and the Hospice Medical Team for their ongoing kindness, compassion, and support rendered to our loving mother during this challenging time. “Thank you” to everyone for the cards, phone calls, and visits Helen received. The Family would also like to extend gratitude to Susan Lippard for the unconditional love and support she gave Helen throughout the years—Helen was also known as Susan’s best friend/sister until the end of time. Lastly, an incredibly special appreciation from the entire Helen Wright’s family goes to Pat Peacock, daughter— for the dedicated work she did day after day, looking out for Helen, every day at the nursing home, when we couldn’t. “Thank you, Pat,” for all you did. We all love you! Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7 at 2 pm Summerset Memorial Chapel, Salisbury, NC, followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. Following departure, Helen will lay to rest next to her late husband, Frank M.
