Elizabeth Crater Spry

Elizabeth Mae Crater Sheets Spry, 96, of Salisbury, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 11, 2021 at her home. Born July 10, 1925 in Forsyth County she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Faw Crater & Frankie Estella Mae Bodenheimer Crater. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved her family very much. A graduate of Clemmons High School, she worked in many retail industries. She was a member of Fisher Street Baptist Church and attended until health did not permit. Elizabeth was a Godly woman and was very dedicated to her family and loved everyone she came in contact with. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Joe Spry; brother, Bud Crater; sister, Mary Williams; sister, ReElla Johnson and grandson Jon Todd. She is survived by her son, Rev. Joey Spry (Jeana) of Faith; daughter, Frankie Todd (Ted) of Pfafftown; daughter, Patsy Coppino (John) of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Karen Veno (Joe) of Fredericksburg, VA; son, David Sheets (Viv) of South Carolina; son, Ronnie Spry of Salisbury; grandchildren, Chandler Spry (fiancée Makenna Pate), Mark Spry, Mary Spry, Tina Hood (Daniel), Anna Friel (Chris), Gina Howes (Todd), Brian Veno (Amanda), Christy Textor (Aaron), Ryan Sheets, Amy Todd and great-grandchildren, Jacob Friel, Julia Friel, Hunter Hood, Madison Hood, Abram Howes, Olivia Howes, Aidan Veno, Sydney Veno, Addie Veno, Charlotte Textor, Olivia Textor; sister-in-law, Betty Crater; sister-in-law, Betty Patterson; brother-in-law, Ernie Williams and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Arrangements: The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM at Summersett Funeral Home on Sunday (Oct. 17) and service will follow at 2 PM officiated by the Rev. Joey Spry and the Rev. Roger Bostic. Burial will be held on Friday (Oct. 22) at 10 AM at the Salisbury VA National Cemetery.
