Anne Gallimore Hollifield

Anne Gallimore Hollifield, 83, of Salisbury, North Carolina, entered her heavenly home on December 30, 2025, at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born August 17, 1942, in Shelby, North Carolina, Anne was the daughter of the late Wray Lee Gallimore and Addie Lee Hambright Gallimore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Gallimore. She was a graduate of Kings Business College. Anne was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, where her quiet devotion and servant’s heart touched countless lives. She was a longtime member of the church’s Blessing Bunch, faithfully writing letters for more than sixteen years to celebrate joys, share in concerns, and offer comfort and encouragement to fellow church members. Through her words, Anne extended grace, kindness, and connection in ways that will never be fully counted. She also instilled in her children the importance of handwritten correspondence, teaching by example the lasting power of words written from the heart. Known affectionately by many at her independent living community as the “Flower Lady,” Anne lovingly cared for the flowers at the entryway of their home, taking pride in nurturing beauty and welcoming others with color and life. This simple act reflected who she was—generous, kind, and attentive to the world around her. Above all, Anne loved her family deeply. She was the steady, patient presence in their lives, offering unconditional love and quiet strength. Her affection extended to every member of her family, including her cherished grand dogs, whom she happily indulged with thrown balls and an abundance of treats. Their devotion to her reflected the gentle spirit they knew so well. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Eric Hollifield (Jennifer) of Hoschton, Georgia; her daughters, Debbie Ayers (Jim) of Huntersville and Sherry Bryan (Fred) of Salisbury; her brother, Wray Gallimore of Stone Mountain, Georgia; her grandchildren, Zack Ayers (Margaret), Madeline Ayers, Bess Bryan Pomajzl (Brayden), Luke Bryan, Nick Hollifield, and Lauren Hollifield; and her great-grandchildren, Max Ayers and Asa Ayers. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Oak Park Retirement Community, TenderHearted Home Care, and Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their loving and compassionate care shown for Mom and Grandmama. A memorial service will be conducted on January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 308 West Fisher Street, Salisbury, NC 28144, with Revs. Josh and Lara Musser-Gritter, and Rev.
