Mr. Timothy Earl Woodrum

Timothy Earl Woodrum, 50, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, North Carolina. Born on September 29, 1965 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, Tim was a son of Darrell and Mary Ann Woodrum, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, WV in 1984, served four years in the U.S. Air Force, and was formerly an employee of G4S Security in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tim is survived by his brothers Thomas Woodrum of Fayetteville, WV, Darrell Woodrum and John Woodrum, both of Oak Hill, WV, sisters Mary Jane Canterbury of Oak Hill, WV, Carol Lenz of Salisbury, NC, and Brittany Woodrum, of Fayetteville, WV. Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one aunt, Lee Woodrum of Anderson, South Carolina. Also left behind to cherish his memory are two special nephews, Brian Hunter Lenz, and Jacob Scott Lenz, both of whom he helped raise, of Salisbury, NC, special friends Bryan Holt of Salisbury, NC, Loretta Murphy of Summersville, WV, Kathy Dees of Kannapolis, NC, and Beverly Blankenship of Concord, NC. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Thrusday, January 21, 2015 in the Chapel at First Baptist Church with a memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life following at 11:00 AM conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Lance and the Rev. Rod Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in the Salisbury National Cemetery at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, with full military honors. The family is very grateful to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their most gracious assistance and attentiveness in Tim’s care. A very heartfelt thanks goes out to each and every member of his home care team, and everyone at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice house. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to either the Singled Out Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, or the Glenn A.
