Rosmarie T. Fox

Rosmarie T. Fox peacefully departed this world on March 23, 2021 and flew into the arms of her Lord Jesus. Anyone who knew her, whether for a short or long time, could not help but be drawn to her. Her joy and zest for life were contagious. A giving and loving spirit throughout her life, she dedicated her time to being there for others, especially her family and friends. Rose was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduation from Robert E. Lee High School in 1971, she maintained a long and successful career at Prudential Insurance Company, rising to the position of Manager before retiring. In addition to a busy career, she was very involved with her St. Peter’s Church family, where she served as a Steven’s Minister and a vital member of the Seeker’s Single Ministry. Following her retirement, she left her lifelong home of Jacksonville and moved to South Carolina to pursue her passion for singles ministry and to be closer to her aging mother. There she began a second career at CB Richard Ellis/Trammell Crow Company. Pursuing her dream to continue her education, at the age of 56, Rose went back to school and graduated from York Technical College, SC in 2011 with an AS in Business Management and Human Resources. Throughout her education at York, she remained on the President’s List and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Rose was an avid ancestry historian and documented her family tree back to the 1700’s. Rose was preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Thompson, mother Virginia Clarice Lovett, sister Theresa Louise Thompson and brother Robert Lee Thompson. Rose is survived by her adopted daughter Christina Harding, sister Ruby Kathryn Thompson Wilfong, nephews Joshua Thompson, Jonathan Burgasser, and Glenn Melton and nieces Virginia Johnston, Theresa Clifford and Grace Woodard. She is also survived by her dear friends and extended family, both lifelong and new. Her effervescent smile and bubbly personality will be missed until we meet again.
